The EqueStride™ Support System is primarily used to treat:
Flexor tendon injuries including SDFT and DDFT injury.
Suspensory ligament injuries
It enables safe rehabilitation exercise and progressive loading needed for healthy tendon fibre realignment.
It is also effective for:
Distal or oblique sesamoid ligament injuries
Collateral ligament injuries
Check ligament injuries
Sesamoid bone fractures
Any condition affected by fetlock joint hyperextension or instability

EqueStride™treatment can start as soon as the acute phase subsides - typically 2-3 weeks post injury.
Yes. EqueStride™ is beneficial at all stages of recovery.
Thanks to its variable tendon support, it can be successfully introduced even in later stages when horses are already doing trot or canter work. It is not limited to immediate post-injury treatment.
Yes. EqueStride™ can be used in minor, subclinical soft tissue injuries for support to prevent the minor injury from becoming more severe. The horse can continue to be turned out or exercised without the need for prolonged box rest.
Yes. EqueStride™ complements traditional therapies. While medical interventions such as stem cells, PRP, and laser therapy promote healing at the cellular level, they don't provide mechanical support during exercise.
EqueStride™ delivers the critical mechanical support needed to:
Minimise re-injury risk
Prevent uncontrolled overload on healing tendons
Optimise recovery outcomes
The EqueStride™ device limits overextension of the fetlock joint - the primary cause of tendon and suspensory ligament strain.
It achieves this through an innovative, extremely strong artificial tendon within the device that absorbs load from the horse's injured structures.
By providing variable support levels, it allows for gradual transfer of load back to the healing tendon or ligament as recovery progresses.
Early mobilisation after soft tissue injury is essential to prevent stiffness, maintain muscle strength, and stimulate healthy tendon fibre alignment, leading to faster, stronger and more effective healing. Traditional protocols relied on prolonged box rest because no mechanical support existed in the past to protect the leg during movement.
The EqueStride™ support system solves this problem. It's the only tendon support that enables safe exercise during soft tissue rehabilitation, transforming conventional protocols and delivering significantly better physical and mental outcomes for horses.
